Guerilla performance
Transforming the streets of East Village into a public theatre using the power of light.
E7 was a musical street performance which transformed a disregarded sidewalk into a theatrical stage. The bystanders were greeted with pleasant classical melodies played on an acoustic guitar. Dancing to the notes was a contemporary dancer who improvised and followed the flow taking the music where the sound couldn’t reach.
The installation took place in front of Plant Baked, a vegan bakery in the East Village and was live from 9PM to 9:30 PM on June 24, 2021.
