What made you OPEN this space?
The East Village has been our home for the last 15 years and we feel comfortable in the neighborhood. When we saw the open storefront we knew it was the one! We love 9th street, its such a special block lined with local mom and pop shops. We feel part of the community and it fits our local laid back vibe.
What made you OPEN to our concept?
We love the idea of livening up the community during this bleak time. We are sympathetic to our fellow businesses during the pandemic and it makes us happy to work with you to bring light and brightness to the neighborhood right now. it's such a cool concept, we're grateful to be part of it.
What would you like to see more of in the streets?
For the future of the East Village, we'd like to see the next generation of young and diverse business owners opening up new mom and pop shops in the vacant storefronts. It's great to see outdoor dining in the streets and keeping the neighborhood lively. We welcome more retails shops, flower shops, galleries, hair salons, coffee shops, bars, and restaurants that give the East Village it's unique identity. Local small shops are the heart and soul of NYC.
